This 2006 Leopard 43 catamaran was designed by Simonis Voogd and built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa. The boat is powered by twin Beta Marine 40-horsepower diesel engines with fewer than 200 hours of operation—a complete repower that represents one of the most significant and expensive upgrades a cruising catamaran can receive. The fiberglass hull measures 43 feet in length with a 22.75-foot beam, and the shaft-drive propulsion system offers straightforward maintenance access and proven long-term dependability.
The interior accommodates four cabins and provides generous living space suited to extended cruising and liveaboard use. Over the past five years, systematic upgrades have been made throughout the boat's major systems: the electrical system was configured to reduce generator runtime, solar capacity was expanded for extended anchorages, the charging system was engineered for rapid battery replenishment while underway, and climate control and comfort systems were modernized. Sail handling was simplified, and storage and functionality were improved throughout.
Additional work includes upgraded rigging, fuel systems, refrigeration, and rebedded windows. The boat comes with a premium OC330 full-carbon sailing tender—a rigid dinghy with mast, sail, centerboard, and a 15-horsepower Tohatsu outboard—adding genuine capability to the cruising package. All major infrastructure projects have been completed, leaving the next owner with a proven platform ready for extended voyaging without facing the significant near-term expenses typical of other examples of the model.
