2015 Ranger Tugs R-27

This 2015 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a fiberglass trawler powered by a single Volvo D3 diesel engine producing 200 horsepower, with only 280 engine hours. The 27-foot hull features a substantial 50-square-foot cockpit and aft deck with generous storage, a transom gate walk-out swim platform with handrails, and easy tender access. Twin thrusters—bow and stern—aid close-quarters maneuvering. The boat received a full bottom job and professional exterior detail in March 2026.

The cabin layout combines comfort with functionality. Forward is a V-berth sized for two and measuring 6'5" in length. The main saloon holds commanding captain and companion helm chairs alongside a collapsible mid-ship port-side dinette with ample seating and sleeping capability. An additional sleeping and storage area sits aft beneath the dinette. A full galley serves the galley with sink, microwave, refrigerator with cold tray, and a 2026 propane gas stove top. A reverse-cycle air conditioning system keeps the cabin comfortable, while an electric flush head with bowl sink and shower handle sanitation.

Navigation and electronics center on a comprehensive Garmin setup: 741XS display with chart plotter, sonar, and radar; autopilot; and VHF 200 radio. A Morning Star battery monitor and On Board Solutions inverter manage power, supported by a solar panel charging system and large storage battery box. The helm features a new 2026 Ultra Flex helm station, windlass controls, and trim tabs. Deck equipment includes a Rocna stainless steel anchor, Lewmar windlass with stainless steel chute, collapsible mast with spotlight, and collapsible bimini cover. Handrails line the bow and side decks for safe passage. A Saturn tender with Suzuki 2.5 HP outboard is included.
