2019 NEEL 45

The Neel 45 Evolution is a 2019 trimaran built in fiberglass with sandwich construction throughout the hull and deck. This design combines light weight — the boat displaces approximately 8.5 tons — with exceptional rigidity and torsion resistance. The three-hull configuration delivers stable, responsive sailing characteristics, reaching speeds matched to wind strength from as little as 2 knots of breeze, with comfortable cruising speeds of 10 to 13 knots achievable in most conditions. A retractable daggerboard is fitted to enhance upwind performance. Power comes from a Volvo Penta D2 60 diesel engine producing 59 horsepower, paired with folding propellers.

The interior layout centers on a main salon with navigation station and includes a galley with two-burner stove and oven. Two double cabins occupy the main hull's forward section, with additional single berths in each outer hull. The accommodation also features two full bathrooms with shower and electric toilet, plus two refrigerators and a freezer for provisions. Climate control consists of heating in the superstructure and forward cabin areas, supplemented by cabin fans.

This particular example has received extensive upgrades and maintenance. Recent additions include a retractable stern thruster, new cockpit tent, new bimini top, and refurbished sails maintained by a professional sailmaker. Outer hull insulation with fleece lining, warm air circulation, and automatic bilge pumps in all floats were completed in 2024. The electric anchor winch, bow thruster with dedicated battery, and comprehensive navigation electronics featuring a 9-inch Raymarine chartplotter with radar and AIS provide modern cruising capability. Solar panels, inverter, and substantial battery banks support extended cruising. Safety equipment includes a ten-person life raft, life jackets, lifebuoys, and a rigid dinghy with outboard.
