The NEEL 45 Evolution is a rare performance trimaran built in 2019, designed by Joubert and Nivelt. This model features a retractable centerboard—an uncommon configuration that delivers superior close-hauled performance compared to fixed-keel variants. The design balances speed, stability, comfort, and safety for offshore cruising. At 46.65 feet long and spanning 27.89 feet across the main hull and outriggers, the boat centers on a distinctive panoramic central loft of approximately 600 square feet, creating an exceptional sense of space. The isolated outriggers provide substantial storage volume and additional berths, while the main hull houses the engine and tanks.
The accommodation plan includes five cabins and two heads, arranged across the trimaran's three hulls. The open-plan central area maximizes natural light and usable living space.
Power comes from a Volvo Penta D2-55 Saildrive diesel engine with approximately 1,875 hours of running time. The electrical system is modern and comprehensive: 480 watts of solar panels, a Mastervolt battery bank installed in 2024, a 2000-watt converter, and a complete 220-volt installation. Navigation and autopilot equipment includes Raymarine radar, GPS, wind instruments, speed log, and depth sounder.
Recent work includes new antifouling applied in July 2025, complete technical maintenance, and annual refit. The boat has been professionally maintained throughout its service history.
