2021 Custom Aluminum Crabber

This 2021 aluminum crabber is a 35-foot commercial fishing platform built by North Cross with a heavy-gauge welded hull and self-bailing deck designed for working efficiency. Powered by a Cummins 6.7 diesel with 3,243 hours, it runs a single screw through a Twin Disc transmission and cruises at 15 knots with fuel consumption around 13 gallons per hour. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 21 knots and operates efficiently at low speeds, burning just 1.5 gallons per hour at 5 knots. A deflector rudder assists with fuel efficiency and control.

The boat carries a complete commercial hydraulic system with PTO-driven Vickers pump, load-sense configuration, and reversible pumps in multiple sizes for pot handling, air systems, and washdown. An 8-inch bow thruster provides excellent slow-speed maneuvering control, particularly valuable in this class. Navigation and monitoring equipment includes an autopilot, AIS, Garmin chartplotter and radar, depth sounder with fish finder, VHF radio, and three Vision X flood and spot lights.

The interior features a carbon fiber layout with sink, refrigerator, marine toilet, diesel heater, and radiator heating. Currently operating at partial capacity—approximately 3,800 pounds with totes—the boat has a potential payload of 4,800 pounds or more, with additional holds forward not yet in use. The hull is divided into seven compartments for safety and flotation.

A key feature is full trailability, making this commercial crabber capable of moving between fisheries without reliance on moorage. A trailer is available as optional equipment. Survey documentation describes the vessel as very good to excellent condition and professionally built to high standards.
