The 2022 Leopard 53 Powercat represents the fourth generation of this successful catamaran design. Built by Robertson and Caine, she combines the spaciousness and stability of a catamaran hull with the comfort and performance expectations of a motor yacht. Two 700-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 17.5 knots and a maximum speed of 24 knots, while the catamaran design offers approximately 50 percent better fuel efficiency than comparable monohull motor yachts.
The four-cabin layout includes a notably spacious owner's cabin on the starboard side aft. The saloon features expansive panoramic windows, an L-shaped lounge to port, and a two-person settee to starboard, with a forward saloon door providing direct access to the foredeck. The galley is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, four-burner stove, microwave, Staron countertops, and generous storage. Four heads are positioned throughout the yacht to serve the accommodations.
The flybridge provides excellent sightlines from the helm station and includes spacious seating and a large dining table, creating an outdoor entertaining area. The design emphasizes modern finishes with cool tones throughout, and the 53-foot length with 25-foot beam provides the interior volume and outdoor deck space characteristic of the model.
