2022 Seawind 1600

The 2022 Seawind 1600 Passagemaker is a composite catamaran built for serious offshore cruising. At nearly 53 feet long with a beam of almost 26 feet, this hull benefits from Seawind's stretched design compared to their earlier models. Two 160-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines power the boat, and the construction features extensive carbon fiber in structural elements, creating exceptional torsional rigidity for a catamaran in this size range.

The boat has been actively cruised from New England to the Bahamas over the past two seasons. The electronics suite has been upgraded to B&G H5000, with all systems calibrated. The sail plan includes upgraded sails and a custom spinnaker on a functional top-down furler. Running rigging has been modified for two-person handling, and the boat carries sun shades and bug screens. Two heads serve the interior spaces.

The steering stations are positioned partially under the bimini, offering both sun protection and full 360-degree visibility while keeping all sail controls within reach. This layout is characteristic of the boat's design approach to comfortable passage-making. The boat shows in excellent condition throughout.
