The Modern 11 is a 36-foot houseboat built on a foam-filled composite float structure with a galvanized steel sub-frame. Twin Yamaha 25hp high-thrust outboards with hydraulic steering power the boat to a cruising speed of 5 knots and top speed of 8 knots. The helm station is positioned on the forward port side bow. The hull features 6cm foam insulation, composite flooring, and double-glazed windows and doors throughout, with Scandinavian cedar decking on the lower level and a flexible teak roof deck above.
The interior arranges two staterooms, one head with shower and heated towel rack, a galley with SMEG refrigerator and convection microwave, and a salon with linear bar. LED lighting runs throughout the boat inside and out. The head includes an electric freshwater flush toilet, sink, shower, mirror, and ventilation fan. Fresh water capacity is 264 gallons, with an equal capacity waste tank and 105 gallons of additional storage in the floats.
Climate control is provided by an electric central heating system and air conditioning with reverse cycle heat, both of which can run from shore power or inverter. The boat connects to shore via dual 30-amp 110V inlets with 50-foot cords included. An upper deck terrace spans 4 by 4 meters with stainless steel ladder and railings, and a motorized roller blind covers the roof area. Additional features include mooring cleats, a boarding ladder, stainless steel railings on lower decks, outside cameras, and reading lights with USB outlets in the staterooms.
