2026 Catalina 426

The 2026 Catalina 426 is a new design that succeeds the legendary Catalina 42, combining contemporary styling with enduring construction and function rooted in the Catalina tradition. This 42-foot fiberglass sloop features a spacious, functional cockpit and carries forward the hallmark design philosophy that has defined the brand. The boat is powered by a single Yanmar diesel engine and built with a lead keel and single rudder, including a watertight collision bulkhead and SecureSocket chainplates.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates two cabins and two heads, with a third cabin-convertible workshop space. The interior showcases Burmese teak with ash slatted side panels, teak and holly sole flooring, and Ultra Leather upholstery in Brisa Cream. The galley includes a second refrigerator and freezer unit, while both heads feature quiet flush freshwater systems. A dropdown starboard table and drawer replace the standard fixed navigation table, creating flexible interior space.

The rig and sail plan reflect modern performance cruising. The furling mast carries a vertical battened Dacron mainsail with electric furling synchronized to a starboard cabin top winch. A 135% furling genoa supplements the standard self-tacking jib. Selden electric primary winches (3-speed) and a manual portside winch provide sheet handling, while a long traveler and inboard genoa tracks enable balanced sail control. A 6.5 horsepower bow thruster aids maneuvering.

Navigation and entertainment systems center on a comprehensive Garmin suite: dual GMI 20 multifunction displays, a 10-inch GPSMAP 8610 chartplotter with touchscreen, Fantom 18 radar, Reactor 40 autopilot, VHF radio, and AIS transceiver. Audio includes a Fusion player with Bluetooth and Sirius capability, driving salon and cockpit speakers. Additional features include AGM house and starting batteries, Webasto forced air heating, and UV-protected sails.
