The 2026 Catalina 426 is a new design that succeeds the legendary Catalina 42 in the line. At 42 feet with a beam of 13.67 feet, this fiberglass sailing yacht combines contemporary styling with Catalina's proven approach to durability and function. The boat features a lead keel and single rudder, a watertight collision bulkhead, and a spacious, functional cockpit paired with carefully detailed interior accommodations.
The layout includes two cabins and two heads, plus a workshop area that can convert to additional cabin space. The interior is finished in Burmese teak with ash slatted side panels and a teak and holly sole. Upholstery throughout is in ultra leather. The galley features an additional refrigerator and freezer unit, while both heads are equipped with fresh water quiet flush systems. A Yanmar diesel engine powers the boat.
Sail handling is managed by a Selden synchronized main furling system with an electric cabin top winch on the starboard side, paired with a furling mast and vertical battened Dacron mainsail. The genoa and jib are both furling systems. Three-speed electric primary winches and manual winches provide control options, while the long traveler and inboard genoa tracks support balanced sail tuning.
A comprehensive electronics suite includes dual Garmin GMI 20 multifunction displays networked via NMEA2000, a Garmin 215 VHF radio, Garmin GMR Fantom 18 radar with MotionScope, Garmin Reactor 40 autopilot, a Garmin GPSMAP 8610 chartplotter, and Garmin AIS 800 for transceiving. Additional features include a 6.5 horsepower bow thruster, Webasto forced air heating, and a Fusion audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and Sirius readiness.
